I (better) wear my sunglasses at Space-Night

Using data from the Fermi space telescope scientists have discovered a Star system that is bright AF! In their article published in The Astrophysical Journal, they describe that this is most likely comprised of a binary star system with a rapidly rotating neutron star as one part of the light emitting duet.

Jupiter got a new profile picture taken by Hubble!

This new Hubble Space Telescope view of Jupiter, taken on June 27, 2019, reveals the giant planet’s trademark Great Red Spot, and a more intense color palette in the clouds swirling in Jupiter’s turbulent atmosphere than seen in previous years. The colors, and their changes, provide important clues to ongoing processes in Jupiter’s atmosphere.
