Atari Commercial

This Atari Commercial is making its rounds on the internet:

Looking at this with “now-eyes”, it is a bit funny how much more fantasy was required back in the day. In a way playing a video game was much more theater-of-the-mind than nowadays with (near) photorealistic everything. On the one hand a designer can now very much instill her/his vision on a gaming product, on the other hand, there is not much fantasy involved anymore. Unless maybe to head-canon all the BS that is put in.

Jupiter got a new profile picture taken by Hubble!

This new Hubble Space Telescope view of Jupiter, taken on June 27, 2019, reveals the giant planet’s trademark Great Red Spot, and a more intense color palette in the clouds swirling in Jupiter’s turbulent atmosphere than seen in previous years. The colors, and their changes, provide important clues to ongoing processes in Jupiter’s atmosphere.
